“Corals of the Sea” translated from the Hebrew “Almogim” has been awarded the Gold Coast Home Renovation of the Year by the Master Builders’ Association, and the Gold Coast’s Best Renovation and Addition $1M to $1.5M category by the Housing Institute of Australia.

From start to finish, this project has been a labour of love for both our Clients and Romark. We have taken the ideas and desires of our Clients and meticulously created a home that resonates with their love of the water, bright open spaces and desire to feel comfortable with self-contained spaces for their needs.

This project has been one of hard work and pure delight. The results speak for themselves. This home won the highest category for Master Builder’s Renovation and Remodelling Project over 1M, and the Housing Institute Association Renovations and Additions 1M- 1.5M. A luxuriously renovated, three level riverside villa inspired by simplicity and designed with modern, minimalistic themes. Romark has captured open-flowing concepts, creating a relaxed, serene and stylish ambience.

Located within a residential resort, this home features extensive use of glass with single glass panels evident as you cast your view to the picture-perfect River beyond. The task was tedious in having the ceiling linings run through and ‘level’ with the glass units. The Client’s brief was to minimise the evidence of glazing frames whilst priding the illusion of extra high ceilings. This also enhances the view of the everpresent boats and flotilla on the Coomera River.

Pokolbin was designed and built with the Owners’ input on every facet, including interior design. All Sanitaryware and Tapware is fully imported including the stand-alone baths. The design features concrete stone Kitchen benchtops, ‘high-end’ joinery,

Italian imported porcelain tiles, timber flooring, imported feature porcelain sheeted walls, strategically placed and generous sized niches, imported designer lighting and ventilated ‘raked plaster shaft’ Velux skylights further enhance this modern theme. The B.B.Q. Bench Top features the newest product in engineered stone, now weather proof.

Pokolbin was created for the entertainer in us. Special consideration has been given to lighting design and mood lighting to transition from breath-taking sunsets to the darkness of night. The spacious kitchen melds seamlessly with the dining.

The entertainment extends to a purpose-built home cinema featuring hifidelity audio/video. This room can also be utilised as a spare bedroom as the adjoining Powderoom contains a shower. The ‘Control 4’ home automation system provides convenient functionality at a touch, onsite and/or remotely. The neutral colour palette of soft greys and white throughout the home, add to the relaxed, modern and minimalistic atmosphere, enhanced by modern furnishings with subtle contrasting tones. Notice the porcelain wall sheets used in the shower recess to negate any tiles on that subject wall. The same applies as a feature wall as a back-drop behind the bath. From the ruins of a near dilapidated riverside villa emerged ‘Pokolbin’; a warm and welcoming home for family and friends to share special times together.
