After a couple of years of searching for a builder competent enough to complete this difficult build, our clients came to us disappointed with the builders they had spoken with. Once they met us, they knew we were the right builder for them. The design was not your usual straight up and down build. It was curves where ever you looked.

This build required an experienced builder. The stunning design emphasises grand proportions and intricate nautical-inspired custom details that are truly world-class. We feel this is why it took our clients so long to find someone competent to build the structure.

The design highlights nautical style portholes reflected right through the interiors, including the ensuite, exquisite travertine tiling, warm timber accents and lines to accentuate the curves. Backdropped by the waterfront, the stunning travertine has been paired with timber accents throughout the home, reflecting on the white interiors to provide a sand and water feel. Fitting for a project of this calibre, a local boatbuilder constructed the sweeping staircase, which will live forever. The photos speak for themselves. This truly is an amazing home.

Our clients came to us to have this home rebuilt from scratch. They had owned the land for quite some time and loved the location, neighbourhood and river setting. We literally removed every part of the home and only left a few perimeter walls standing to keep the offsets. Completely rebuilt, this grand residence, with the grounds landscaped into a private oasis of specimen trees with stepping stones leading to the river’s edge commands a great deal of respect. This home renovation project was extremely labour intensive, and we left nothing to chance. Each detail was finessed to ensure the finished product was a unique statement designed just for our clients. You will never see this home anywhere else. From galvanised corrugated iron features, concrete render, timber slated walls and dividers, bamboo flooring, raked ceilings, this home was everything and more to our clients.

So unique, the design stands the test of time alone and can be admired for its individuality and calmness, sitting seamlessly on the river.

This bespoke designed home is full of style, features and extras, situated on the prestigious Hope Island waterfront. Our clients came to us to build their holiday home here in Australia. They are professional people who live in New Zealand, visiting our sunshine state for their family vacations. Absolutely nothing has been left to chance in this build. Proudly overlooking the beautiful waters, this enviable home offers a lifestyle few are lucky enough to enjoy.

Modern contemporary Tuscany heavily influenced the design. From the impressive front entrance with its large porte-cochere boasting a beautiful raked timber-lined ceiling, to the ground entranceway featuring Nero Absoluto travertine inserts, nothing but grandeur awaits. The homeowners were looking for that feeling of grandeur from the entranceway to the five-car accommodation, bespoke designer kitchen and opulent master suites. This home welcomes the family with impressive well thought out living spaces making the most of the fantastic views with the open plan design. Equipped with a designer kitchen, the homeowners are inspired to create and serve friends and family in this beautiful home. The relaxing alfresco setting overlooks the glistening lap pool, ingeniously placed to the side of the residence to utilise every inch of the property.

Travertine marble imported from Spain was used throughout the home. A local sculpture hand-carved on-site the curved timber stair handrail, which is a beautiful feature of the home. We incorporated wall hung vanity basins and W.C. Suites for the bathrooms, which have been supported by mirrored walls behind; no small feat, and is unique to this property. The joinery was also bespoke for the home, setting the benchmark for the quality of the fixtures and making the home feel warm while experiencing the extremely high ceilings and open spaces.

Relocating from Malaysia, our clients approached us to build their home on the Hope Island waterfront. The home has been designed specifically as per their instructions. Heavily influenced by Asia, you will see from the photos that the timber front door has been specifically created for the space.

The front entrance opens to a feeling of complete serenity. Like an oasis, you are welcomed by an exquisite waterfall that falls from the book-leaf cladded stone wall. Sandstone stepping stones are strategically placed, surrounded by pebbles and water to provide a very tranquil environment. This area separates the study, media room and guest wing from the rest of the home. The home has been purpose-built for our clients and their young daughter. Upstairs has been designed purely as a large Master Bedroom with a study nook. The daughter’s bedroom, also upstairs, contains a study nook.

The downstairs area has been designed for entertaining. The custom kitchen boasts stone benches, a breakfast bench, and the kitchen’s convenient location opens directly onto the BBQ area. An exquisitely designed alfresco patio with timber-lined ceilings links directly to the pool area. This space provides the opportunity for the family to enjoy many great Australian BBQ’s and a fantastic lifestyle on the waterfront.

Our client contacted us from Germany wanting a design and construct package from Romark. He had purchased a block of land in Mermaid Beach, perfectly positioned to capture the surf views and ocean breezes.

We had this unique home designed to encompass entertaining on the rooftop. Complete with its own lift to the third level and rooftop pool, the masterfully designed residence takes advantage of everything the site has to offer. Being able to sit in the pool and view the surf conditions was an imperative focus of the design brief. The rooftop pool also had one distinctive element explicitly designed for this project. It had the largest residential pool window ever inserted into a residential construction. The journey to have this pool window placed on the rooftop was captured by the local Gold Coast News.

Being a single man, he loved to entertain. The ground level required an area for the pool table, connecting directly to the immaculately appointed kitchen and living room. The bedrooms were located on the second level, making them very private for any visiting guests.

Our clients came to us asking for assistance in purchasing a block of land so they could relocate from Melbourne. We listened intently to their needs and assisted in the purchase process, ensuring the block of land would be suitable for their new dream home. Coming from apartment living most of their lives, designing a standalone home was a real change of pace. They were looking for the convenience of apartment living. They wanted a home that could be as maintenance-free as possible, with the luxury inclusions of a bespoke cosmopolitan apartment. We are proud to have achieved their design brief, and they couldn’t be happier.

The land contained an old home, which we had to remove prior to turning soil. We built the pool first as it is situated right on the waterfront, then we worked our way back to the roadside. Artificial grass and vertical gardens are featured in the home, which reminds them of their apartment lifestyle. The water frontage and spacious formal and informal open-plan living suit the owner’s style and provide a sense of secluded privacy in a cosmopolitan way.

Showcased by an intriguing mix of clean architectural lines, expansive open-planned living, pool and ocean views, this residence presents as the perfect luxury oasis. Our Clients were relocating from Adelaide and contacted Romark to design and build their home. There were special requirements as they are a Chinese family, requiring a home large enough to accommodate two families. Exceptional in position and lifestyle attributes, this generous family home became the residential base to our clients – the grandparents – and their son, his wife and two children.

Our clients required a fully enclosed kitchen to contain the Chinese cooking smells within the kitchen area. We used a glass barrier to separate the kitchen. This zoning allows the cook to remain connected to the family yet contain the cooking aroma to the single area. The parents could not speak much English, so their son performed all the correspondence throughout the project. The resulting home allows the family to enjoy sun-drenched vistas with ample space to enjoy their time together as one large family unit. Since the build, we have become very good friends, and our Client often performs translation for other Clients where necessary.

Following an arduous and unpleasant experience with a previous builder, our Clients found Romark. They were delighted by our honest approach, attention to detail and eye on the budget. Their previous builder had expended 12 months designing them a home which in the end was nothing like what they were after and was out of their budget.

They arrived very despondently after wasting a considerable amount of money and time. So we listened to their requirements, designed them what they wanted within budget and had them in their new home before Christmas. The design process took six weeks, and we were turning soil.

Our clients came from the land as horticulturists and wanted a home to raise their family and relocate their business. We provided a complete turn-key service, every aspect of building design, interior design, structural engineering, electrical, mechanical, landscaping and pool, construction and handover. The result is a beautifully appointed family residence surrounded by a breathtaking landscape. ‘Contemporary Country’ evokes a sense of escape and is the ultimate residence to raise a family in a contemporary style situated in the lush hinterland. The family have since expanded tremendously. We have been delighted to work with them to build the administration building for their family business.

Our client came to us to build him a home on a sloping block of land in the lush Gold Coast Hinterland. The requirements for this home were to assimilate as much as possible with the bushland surroundings. It had to comply with the bush-fire rating for the area, and we had to ensure all their environmental requirements were adhered to for both the design, construction and maintenance provisions of the home. We also built the home to a budget, so the products used had to be cost-effective, fit with the design brief and provide a comfortable lifestyle for our client.

Elegant in its design, the warm timber features, corrugated steel accents and unique design make this home a true work of art. This strategic location commands a spectacular panorama over the Gold Coast Hinterland, framed by towering native trees. The homeowner requested a landing sitting high above the bushland to perform his yoga and for meditation. This home won two awards from the Master Builders, one for Work Place Health and Safety and the other for Best Home Slopping Sites (Unlimited Value).
